AVEIRO, Portugal - Rodi Industries has started the construction of a new production facility for its cycling business, which will be completed by the end of this year. The new factory will not only allow for the optimisation of the flow and production capacity, but will also lead to the installation of a new anodizing line, which will improve the quality of the products and open the door to the production of other bicycle and e-bike related products.

BETHLEHEM, USA - The Dutch scaleup in GPS tracking solutions Tracefy and Skillion Inc. have entered into a partnership for the distribution of a GPS e-bike tracking system in North America. Skillion is a US-based leader developing several Internet of Things (IoT) and AI technologies in the biking industry.

TAIPEI, Taiwan - The export volume of e-bikes from Taiwan continues to increase, although the latest statistics show some remarkable changes. From January to August 2022 Taiwan exported 678,523 electric bicycles. Compared with the same period in 2021 that's a marginal increase of 1.17%.

FRANKFURT, Germany - Mixing a trade and consumer show always raises questions about the efficiency for each exhibitor. It wasn't any different during the first Eurobike edition in Frankfurt last July. Eurobike announced to align the specific requirements of the exhibiting companies and to offer customised packages.

Organized by the European Commission, the workshop made clear that the current European regulations (L-category vehicles type approval and Machinery Directive) are insufficient and inappropriate to cover the variety of devices.

Yesterday, co-founder Markus Riese announced he had stepped down from his executive duties and relinquished the role of CEO as of 1 August 2022.
