AARAU, Switzerland - This Swiss bicycle market developed in 2023 in line with other European countries. After the sales peak in 2020-2022, the market volume dropped last year by 18%. While sales decreases were reported in all categories, it was the speed pedelec market that made strong gains.

OBERRIED, Switzerland - The strong competition in the Swiss speed-pedelec industry is preparing to welcome a new player. Thomas Binggeli has surprised everyone once again: after leaving Stromer as a partner and member of the board of directors in 2021 to concentrate on his traditional brand Thömus, he is now launching a new brand, Twinner - a premium speed-pedelec that is set to reach new standards.

AARAU, Switzerland - For the third year in a row, 2022 was not a normal one in the Swiss bicycle market. Although e-bike deliveries rose for the first time to over 200,000 units, with an increase of 17%, the overall market marginally shrank again to 483,562 units. This was due to the decline in traditional bicycle sales.
