    3T aims to expand production in Italy with Uturn investment

    Schwalbe recycling scheme embraced by retailers

    REICHSHOF, Germany - The fact that a German bike store owner had to wait 23 years for a tyre recycling scheme is a tell-tale sign of how lagging the issue of sustainability has been in the bicycle industry. This appears to be on the turn now that Schwalbe as the first company to do so, introduces a recycling scheme and benefits from 20,000 tyres as a result.

    Tern expects challenging 2023 and strengthens management

    TAIPEI, Taiwan — Bicycle manufacturer Tern has announced several additions to its leadership team on the back of steady growth in 2022.     Vittoria changes hands to new private equity investor

    BREMBATE, Italy - Private equity investors Telemos Capital have signed a binding agreement to acquire a majority stake in Italian tyre manufacturer, Vittoria. Together with Wise Equity, Telemos aims to accelerate the growth of the company on a global scale. The transaction is expected to close in early 2023.

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - A provisional agreement on the overhaul of the EU battery regulations has been reached by the European Parliament and Council. The initial proposal was presented in December 2020 by the European Commission. The agreement reached on Friday 9 December still awaits formal approval.

    Cowboy achieves B Corp certification and relaunches 'circular' e-bikes

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - Urban e-bike brand Cowboy has achieved B Corp status, one of the first e-bike brands to do so. The brand controls the sustainability of its supply chain, packaging and the recycling of its bike components.     Elastic Interface owner Cytech takes over Pasasport

This is not about bicycle recalls but a selection of recent automotive safety issues that were categorized as 'serious risk' and therefore led to a product recall. It doesn't take much of an imagination to realise what can happen if your car loses a wheel, can't brake or doesn't have a properly working seatbelt while driving.
