BRUSSELS, Belgium - Over 200 people attended the workshop on technical requirements and road safety of personal mobility devices (PMD) this week. HEFEI, China - Following a difficult year including multiple postponements and a relocation from Shanghai, the 31st China International Bicycle Fair, also known as China Cycle, will not be held at all this year. The organisers have officially postponed the event to May 2023.

Yesterday, co-founder Markus Riese announced he had stepped down from his executive duties and relinquished the role of CEO as of 1 August 2022.

In this period, a total of 171,218 bicycles were manufactured, representing a growth of 4.1% compared to the same period of 2021. However, the provisional figures from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism show big monthly differences.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden - Swedish e-bike manufacturer, Ecoride, is relocating its e-bike production from Poland to a new factory in Gothenburg, Sweden. Alongside reshoring the factory, a deputy CEO has been appointed to oversee the company's growth.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Stating that current legislation is creating 'legal bottlenecks' for the development of the light electric vehicle (LEV)-market, trade association LEVA-EU is calling on the industry to make sure their voices are heard when the European Commission holds a workshop on LEV legislation this month.
