    E-bike and bicycle production expected to drop by 40 percent

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - The Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI) pointed out the dramatic situation of the bicycle industry in Europe in an open letter to the European Commission. Due to the Corona pandemic, CONEBI expects a drop in production volumes of at least 40 percent in 2020, compared to the pre-COVID-19 planning.

    Subscribers only A positive 2019 for Italian bike market

    MILAN, Italy - Confindustria ANCMA, Italy's national bicycle association, has released the annual data on the Italian market. More than 1.7 million bicycles were sold in 2019, a 7 percent increase from the previous year. The market saw a continuous increase in e-bike sales and a slight recovery in traditional bikes. There are, however, strong concerns for 2020 data.

    Eurobike 2020 show dates become uncertain due to coronavirus
