Full Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to develop our regional operation in EU and UK. This customer-facing role is crucial for driving new business acquisition and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex business environments to achieve strategic outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Business Development: Responsible for all of Dahon EU / UK Sales activities ( selling products, services, parts, solutions, or projects).

Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives to win new business and expand market presence.

Client relationship development : Leverage on your contacts to identify and contact potential clients and agencies in need of our product. Also, maintain our existing relationships with agencies and distribution network.

Commercial Leadership: Own and influence commercial business operating guidelines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Exercise autonomy in entering into and executing commercial arrangements, demonstrating high levels of commercial judgment.

Budget Management: Oversee and manage order and new business budgets, ensuring financial targets are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize budget utilization and drive profitability.

Market Expertise: Develop commercial expertise across one or more countries, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups. Influence policy and ensure delivery across large and/or diverse sales territories.

Strategic Decision Making: Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform the decision-making process.

Innovative Solutions: Lead others to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Evaluate the quality of information received and question conflicting data for analysis. Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Team Leadership: Act as a 2nd line Commercial Manager, recruit sales agents and develop human resources planning to cope with business needs. Attract and retain talent. Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

Effective Communication: Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally/externally with others to adopt different points of view. Influence peers to take action and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

The position reports directly to the executive management and works alongside our account management & operations team in our office weekly. This will include business development, sales outreach, sales presentations, pre and post-sales support, and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited university
  • At least 9 years of Sales or Commercial experience in Bicycle Industry or related industries
  • Minimum 5 years of P&L responsibility
  • Proven achievements in sales & marketing projects & execution
