荷蘭，阿姆斯特丹- 去年夏天和秋天大量的日照再加上北歐經濟狀況的改善促成了德國、荷蘭(電動)自行車的銷售成長。

春天的壞天氣加上歐元危機對荷蘭自行車業來說是雪上加霜。尤其是4月的新自行車與電動自行車銷售都受到了重創。5月的業績因有兩週可見到陽光的好天氣而稍有起色。但以總體價值來看，此全歐第二大市場有著兩位數的衰退。

歷經五年衰退，法國自行車市場逆轉向下的趨勢。銷售量比2010年成長了5.5%，營業額則成長了6.5%。在2011年歐洲自行車市場規模排名裡，法國賣出320萬輛，排名第三；德國和英國則賣出410萬輛和350萬輛，分居一二名。
