STOCKHOLM, Sweden - myFC, the Nasdaq listed company which was active in micro fuel cells and hydrogen has filed for bankruptcy. This a turnaround from earlier this year when the company made headlines in the e-bike industry press with an eye-catching partnership.

GOTHENBURG, Sweden - Swedish e-bike manufacturer, Ecoride, is relocating its e-bike production from Poland to a new factory in Gothenburg, Sweden. Alongside reshoring the factory, a deputy CEO has been appointed to oversee the company's growth.

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - Cambodia earned $505 million (€505 million) from bicycle exports in the first six months of this year, the country's Ministry of Commerce has announced. This is a 104% increase compared to last year. Besides high demand, a new investment law and influential trade rulings are cited as reasons for the growth.

HANGZHOU, China - HMI display manufacturer Velofox, presented the newest releases from its DM Series during Eurobike in July. FRANKFURT, Germany - Cargo bikes have gone from niche to mainstream since the introduction of the City Changer Cargo Bike (CCCB) project which was commissioned in 2018. The project which aimed to exploit the limitless potential of cargo bikes, promoting their usage amongst public, private, and commercial users, is now coming to an end. The findings will be presented during a conference during Eurobike.

OLDENZAAL, the Netherlands - Italian tyre manufacturer, Vittoria, inaugurated its new north Europe headquarters in the Netherlands last week. The new strategically-located facility also houses the revamped factory of niche-market hand-made cotton trye manufacturer A. Dugast which the Vittoria Group acquired last year.

Suzhou, China - E-bike drive system manufacturer, Bafang, has introduced its new M510 mid-motor, the successor to the M500. Designed to be stronger and lighter, the mid-motor is geared towards the e-MTB market. Due to in-house component sourcing, Bafang states that the motor has a delivery time of 60-90 days.

SUZHOU, China - At a total investment of RMB 5 billion (€725 mln), Phylion has signed an agreement for the building of a 16GWh Power Battery Project in Yancheng in the Jiangsu province. The entire production line will adopt the most advanced production equipment.

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands - A CIRCO Circular Design Workshop specifically for the global cycling industry to create a deeper understanding of the opportunities of the circular economy is being organised by the not-for-profit movement, Shift Cycling Culture. For those interested in developing a circular business, places are still available for the workshop starting in April.

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - VanMoof, the Dutch bike-meets-smart-tech company, launched their next generation e-bikes this week at a significantly lower cost than previous launches. The bicycle manufacturer claims that taking control of the whole production process has allowed them to develop a high-tech range at a lower cost for consumers.

ENNEPTAL, Germany - Bicycle parts manufacturer, Thun, has developed innovative bottom bracket sets for e-bikes in the entry level segment for model year 2022. Particular to the bottom bracket sets is the Sensor Compatible (SC) system.
