WALDERSDORF, Germany - Cube Bikes plans to set up a facility in Egypt to produce plastic-reinforced carbon parts for export to its European factories as production inputs. WELS, Austria - As the momentum in Pierer Mobility AG's core motorbike markets in the US and Europe has slowed significantly in 2024, the Austrian two-wheeler giant announced the implementation of a comprehensive package of measures. GRENOBLE, France - French companies eBikeLabs and Vefaa have announced the creation of an e-bike equipped with eBikeOS technology, one of the first operating systems dedicated to e-bikes. Known as Bonjour Techno, the first prototypes of the e-bikes have been available since March. All units are assembled in Villeurbanne, at the 'Usine à vélo', an assembly factory for other French brands such as AddBike, Cyclik, Vepli and many others.

OSAKA, Japan - The financial consequences of high inventory in the market accelerated in the fourth quarter of last year for bicycle and parts manufacturers. Shimano even reports a year-on-year decline of 24.6% in revenue and a 52.3% drop in net profit. The figures Shimano projected for 2024 don't show a positive picture either.
