LONDON, UK - The Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has initiated a transition review this week into anti-dumping and countervailing measures on e-bikes imported in the United Kingdom from China. MILAN, Italy - A taskforce of experts put together by the Italian government to bring the country out of the Covid19 crisis are looking towards bicycles as a safer means of transportation in cities. Among the proposals of the task force, led by Vittorio Colao, are calls for financing of e-bikes to avoid crowding on public transport.

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany - In the U.S. e-bikes are gaining ground as sales up to August this year grew by close to 28 percent in units and 51 percent in value. Despite these good grades volume-wise the U.S. market comes nowhere near what's happening in Europe.

BUSNAGO, Italy - The introduction of FSA's e-bike drive system was one of the highlights at Eurobike. Next to manufacturing bicycle components like cranksets, spiders and sprockets FSA is also a well-established supplier to e-bike drivetrain makers.

MILAN, Italy - In line with the 2018 market statistics in other EU countries, also the Confindustria ANCMA, Italy's National Association of Cycle, Motorcycle and Accessories Industry reported a double digit sales hike in e-bikes. Also the production of e-bikes increased substantially.

GERLINGEN, Germany - There's no mentioning whatsoever on the results of its eBike Systems subsidiary in the last week published extensive 2018 financial report of the Bosch Group. Nothing on revenues, production numbers or sales growth.

OSAKA, Japan - The trump cards that led to Shimano's success within the 2018 e-bike market, delivered a likewise performance in the first quarter of this year. This becomes evident from the company's financial reporting covering the first three months of 2019.
