DRESDEN, Germany - Online retailer Bike24 reports a year-on-year revenue increase of 2.9% to €62.89 million from July to September 2024. In this quarter the category fully assembled bicycles saw a 6% revenue growth to an all-time high of €13.4 million. According to Bike24, "this is the result of our choice for a large brand portfolio and attractive price points."

PADOVA, Italy - To reduce the carbon footprint of bicycles, mudguard manufacturer Eurofender has developed a model which is made out of recycled plastic. Besides this, it is also made without aluminum, and the plastic can be fully recycled at the end of the life cycle of the mudguard.

OSAKA, Japan - To hit back on e-bike drive system suppliers who overshadow Shimano's leading market position, the component manufacturer will start mass production of its AI-integrated drive train system Q'Auto. FRANKFURT, Germany - A newcomer on the scene at this year's Eurobike, was drone manufacturer DJI with the launch of its Avinox drive system. The lightweight, 105 Nm torque drive system was debuted on the company's 'incubator e-MTB brand' Amflow which was launched in 2023. With lengthy queues to test the product, it was one of the most eye-catching innovations at this year's Eurobike.

MATTIGHOFEN, Austria - Despite aggravated delivery problems, Austrian two-wheeler giant Pierer Mobility AG was able to record a positive sales value performance in the first six months of the year. As far as unit sales are concerned, however, the demand for e-bikes could not quite be met.

HELSINKI, Finland - The market has seen a surge in cargo bike manufacturers in the past few years, each taking their own approach. Finnish start-up Ouca claims to have built-up a new concept for cargo bikes from scratch. "We have abandoned traditional bicycle parts in all the critical places," says Ouca founder Tuomas Alapuranen.
