    Kettler plant to deliver Flyers by February, Biketec survives Swiss cuts

    HUTTWIL, Switzerland - As predicted, Flyer production is being relocated to ZEG's Kettler factory in Germany. Only a skeleton team for Swiss dealer support will remain at the Swiss site in Huttwil. They will remain alongside sister company Biketec GmbH with its connectivity solution FIT which has not been affected by the exodus, but only after intense negotiations.

    E-Bikes Take Lead in Belgian Market

    KORTRIJK, Belgium - The Belgian people embraced e-bikes like in no other European market. A recent market study by 'Velofollies', the country's biggest bicycle show, confirmed results of previous surveys which showed that the e-bike is currently the largest bicycle category in Belgium with a market share (in units) of 45%.

    Giant Group tempers decline in revenue amidst destocking industry

    TAICHUNG, Taiwan - In an attempt to improve the financial situation, bicycle manufacturers massively tried to lower their inventory levels even when it came with huge discounting. Giant Group managed to mitigate its decline in turnover to 7.4% as the company's 2024 monthly revenue report shows. This is compared with a decrease of 16.4% in 2023.

    Sprick Cycle the next big name on the list of insolvencies

    GÜTERSLOH, Germany - Another well-known traditional company in the German bicycle industry is facing financial difficulties that can't be solved by themselves anymore. Both Sprick Cycle GmbH and its parent company Sprick Holding GmbH filed for provisional insolvency on 27 December, according to an announcement of the insolvency court.

    Light at the end of the tunnel for Giant Group's revenue decline

    TAICHUNG, Taiwan - Monthly financial overviews showed that Giant Group didn't make a good start in 2024. Yesterday the Giant Group reported a consolidated sales decline of 20.2% to TWD 16.06 billion (€459.5 million) between January and March compared with Q1-2023.     SHANGHAI, China - On 16 June 2022 Giant Manufacturing Co., Ltd. filed an application for listing and trading of its China subsidiary D.Mag (Kunshan) New Material Technology Co.
