    3D printed titanium alloy components launched by BLT and Titan Super...

    XI'AN, China - In close collaboration with metal additive manufacturing solution provider Bright Laser Technologies (BLT), frame and bicycle manufacturer Titan Super Bond has successfully printed a titanium alloy fork. The project opens up new possibilities for Chinese OEMs, expects Titan Super Bond.

    Arevo stops 3D-printed SuperStrata bike production

    HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam - 3D-print frames were regarded as the next step in mass production of high-end frames. In January 2021, the Silicon Valley-based company Arevo invested $19.5 million (€17.8 million) in a high-tech factory in Vietnam. This operation has been terminated.

In the past year, the company printed no fewer than 40,000 parts.     The diversifying needs of modern e-bike design

    GELDERMALSEN, The Netherlands — For many years it was thought that the bicycle and e-bike were fully developed in terms of shape, but the opposite is true. Gert-Jan van Breugel of the Dutch design agency, Modyn, explains how technology mainly associated with an e-bike has given design trends a new impetus. "The bicycle is really diversifying," he tells Bike Europe.

    Urwahn Bikes attracts angel investors

    MAGDEBURG, Germany - German bike manufacturer Urwahn Engineering GmbH, which relies on steel in the 3D printing process, has won over "a select group of top-class business angels" to push their business forward. Together they have invested an unspecified seven-digit sum in the young company founded by Sebastian Meinecke and Ramon Thomas.
