    Two new investors support Brompton in next growth phase

    Brompton has brought in two new strategic investors as the British folding bike manufacturer looks to accelerate international expansion following a challenging period for sales. Decathlon Pulse, the investment arm of Decathlon, and Shanghai-based BA Capital have each acquired minority shareholdings through a secondary liquidity transaction, becoming long-term strategic partners while leaving Brompton's ownership structure and management unchanged.

    Decathlon grows through a tough 2025

    Decathlon S.A. reported steady growth in 2025, even as market development across the sporting goods and bicycle sectors remained uneven. The French retailer reports increased revenue and profitability. At the same time, limited disclosure around category-level performance, especially in cycling, leaves open questions about where that growth is coming from and how sustainable it may be.

    Decathlon Germany announces larger store network expansion

    This year, multi-sports chain store retailer and manufacturer Decathlon is continuing its expansion in Germany. Following the grand opening of its hundredth store in Nuremberg last November, Decathlon-Germany has announced its goal to operate at least 150 stores by 2027.

    Decathlon steps up bicycle investments with majority stake in Rebike Mobility

    Decathlon Pulse, the investment arm of the French retail giant Decathlon, is increasing its investment in existing strategic partner, Rebike Mobility GmbH. By expanding the partnership to become a majority stakeholder, the companies have reaffirmed their long-term commitment to "promoting the circular economy in the bicycle industry and supporting the professionalisation of the European secondary market for e-bikes."

    Decathlon banks on international bike leasing with stake in BLS

    FRANKFURT, Germany - Having been in the hands of Brockhaus Technologies AG for the last four years, Bikeleasing Service GmbH has been sold to the investment arm of French retail giant Decathlon. With this step, BLS is looking to create a strong basis for further growth as well as the targeted international expansion of its successful company bike leasing model. Having tripled revenues under Brockhaus ownership, the purchase agreement provides for an enterprise valuation of Bikeleasing of €525 million according to Brockhaus.
