Companies with a 100-year history in the bicycle industry are pretty hard to come by. Gazelle in the Netherlands, owned by Pon since 2011, is one such company. The worldwide bike market experienced another turbulent year in 2025. Under these circumstances, "Pon.Bike stabilised its turnover at around €2 billion and remained a profitable business with positive operating earnings," owner Pon Holdings announced yesterday. One of the industry's largest bicycle manufacturers states that business again proved to be resilient thanks to its diversified portfolio and market position.

VILNIUS, Lithuania - Pon.Bike is rapidly expanding its reach in the e-bike and bicycle industry. The latest development came with the company's announcement to open a factory in Lithuania and step up its production close to the market. SANTA CRUZ, US - With the growing interest in e-bikes in the US, Dutch bike brand, Pon has opened its first Gazelle Experience Center in the country. Located in Santa Cruz, just 2 km from Pon's North American headquarters, it will serve as an e-bike test location for consumers.

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - In 2021, the Dutch mobility giant Pon Holdings achieved a turnover of no less than €8 billion with an operating profit of €559 million. Pon.Bike - and in particular its e-bikes - contributed no less than €1.3 billion to that turnover.

DIEREN, the Netherlands - As of this month Pon Holding will make Gazelle e-bikes also available in Italy. The Dutch bicycle manufacturer owned by Pon Holdings says the move ties in with its international growth ambitions. Gazelle has also announced a new managing director as of March 1st, 2022.
