    ALISO VIEJO, USA - The reorganisation of the Pon owned brand GT Bicycles has resulted in much speculation regarding the future of the brand. Some even assumed that GT Bicycles would shut down once all inventory is sold. According to a Pon spokesperson, the decision to restructure this subsidiary was taken, "to lay a solid foundation for its next chapter."

    Pon restructures Cannondale and GT distribution in Eastern Europe

    JINAČOVICE, Czech Republic - The distribution of Pon's premium US bicycle brands Cannondale and GT Bicycles in Central- and Eastern-Europe has been taken up by Aspire Sports S.R.O. "The partnership with Aspire Sports will allow us to leverage the Czechs' expertise in this part of Europe to increase the presence of the brands and expand into new territories," emphasises Cannondale and GT Vice President of Int'l Distributor Sales & Marketing Seth Brosnan.

    Major shareholders obstruct Dorel's take-private deal

    MONTREAL, Canada - Dorel Industries has terminated the going-private transaction which was announced last November. To convince the current owners, an initial offer of Cerberus Capital Management LP representing the buyers was raised two weeks ago. But it did not convince the two main shareholders of Dorel Industries.

    Cannondale owner Dorel Industries to go private, deal on the table

    MONTRÉAL, Canada - Dorel Industries has reached an agreement in principle whereby Dorel would be taken private by a buyer group led by affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management, LP and the current shareholders of families Schwartz and Segel.
