    KTM Fahrrad continues investment in production facilities

    MATTIGHOFEN, Austria - KTM Fahrrad GmbH is currently investing to generate further growth. The Austrian e-bike manufacturer is focusing on making its production more modern and sustainable. With significant corona tailwind driving e-bike sales, more than €30 million will be spent in this phase of investment.

    Subscribers only Austrian e-bike sales crack 200,000 units barrier for the first time

    VIENNA, Austria - E-bike and bicycle sales volumes in Austria had leveled off at around 400,000 units in the past 10 years. In 2020 the market situation changed drastically and this was by no means solely due to COVID-19. For the first time the market came close to the 500,000 unit threshold.

    Two-wheeler quartet form swappable batteries consortium

    PONTEDERA, Italy - Italian two-wheeler supplier, Piaggio Group has joined forces with motorcycle and light electric vehicle (LEVs) giants Honda Motor Co, Yamaha Motor Co, and KTM, owned by Pierer Mobility and signed a letter of intent to set up a Swappable Batteries Consortium for motorcycles and LEVs. To enrich the expertise of the consortium, the founding quartet encourages all interested stakeholders to join the new cooperation.

    KTM invests in even more production capacity

    MATTIGHOFEN, Austria - Over the past two years KTM Bicycles already invested in a new production and logistics hall. Eyeing the market outlook of rapid sales increases for the next few years, KTM Bicycles has decided to build three additional halls this year.

    ZEG exhibition 2020: Accell Group joins the ranks

    COLOGNE, Germany - From 11 to 23 August German biggest dealer cooperative, Zweirad Einkaufs Genossenschaft eG (ZEG), invites its IBD partners to its traditional house show. A new addition this year is the Accell Group. Europe's largest premium bike supplier with its German brands Ghost, Haibike, and Winora have been added as a contract supplier to ZEG's wide product portfolio.
