    PHNOM PENH - The Cambodians were still hoping for better times and more export to cater for the seasonal festivals in the Western countries in the fourth quarter of 2023. But the bicycle warehouses in Europe and North America are still packed and Cambodia's bicycle export value is almost back at the same level as in 2019.

    Cambodia's bicycle export value rises significantly in 2022

    PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - Cambodia earned $505 million (€505 million) from bicycle exports in the first six months of this year, the country's Ministry of Commerce has announced. This is a 104% increase compared to last year. Besides high demand, a new investment law and influential trade rulings are cited as reasons for the growth.

    Cambodia hikes bicycle export value, but not to Europe

    PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - The export value of Southeast Asia's largest bicycle supplier in January-October increased by 21% year-on-year. Cambodia's Ministry of Commerce reports a total export value of €453 million. Notably, however, the country is losing market sharing in Europe.

    PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - The pandemic inevitably had an impact on e-bike and bicycle production in Cambodia in 2020. It has become one of the leading bicycle exporting countries. Last year, the total value of bicycles shipped overseas on the export market increased by 27% from 2019 to approximately € 439 million.

    PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - The latest figures of the country's Ministry of Commerce indicate an increasing number of exported regular bicycles. From January to September this year, Cambodia shipped a total of 1.5 million units. The Ministry of Commerce's report did not reveal the exact export volume to the EU.
