This latest drop continues the long post-COVID downturn which began in the second half of 2021. However, the latest figures from the Bicycle Association (BA) suggest there is light at the end of the tunnel.

For the first time, the value of e-bikes imported from other EU countries overtook those from outside the EU. In the first nine months of 2020, the total value of e-bike imports already stood at around €109.56 million. This is a 31% hike in value compared to €89.78 million for the full 12 months in 2019.
