    Porsche: Too little, too late

    The demise of Porsche eBike Performance came at a significant moment for the e-bike drive system market. The company was founded in 2022 by Porsche AG and the Pon investment vehicle Ponooc.     Porsche E-Bike Performance prepares in-house battery production in Europe

    OTTOBRUNN, Germany - This time, car manufacturer Porsche AG seems to be taking the e-bike subject really seriously: Porsche eBike Performance GmbH, which was founded in 2022, has just announced its intention to set up its own e-bike battery production facility in Croatia. This is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2026 - "at the same time as the market launch of the first Porsche e-bike drive system."

    Porsche eBike Performance makes two director appointments

    OTTOBRUNN, Germany - Porsche's e-bike drive systems manufacturing subsidiary has announced the appointment of Florian Klingseisen and Eric Sakalowsky to director-level roles. Klingseisen joined Porsche eBike Performance as director of project management last month, while Sakalowsky has taken up the role of marketing director. Dr Jan Becker, co-CEO of Porsche eBike Performance, welcomed the pair and said the firm was delighted with the hires.
