    Qwic restart after bankruptcy shrouded in mist

    AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - The QWIC administrator has reached an agreement with a consortium of investors for a restart. This was announced by Wieringa lawyers last Friday. The new owners of Qwic have not made themselves public, while Qwic founder and CEO Taco Anema told Bike Europe he will no longer be involved in the new operation.

    Qwic bankruptcy also impacts VDL automatic frame production

    AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Qwic was always known as one of the early innovators in the e-bike market in the Netherlands. According to Qwic an unexpected tax bill made brand owner Hartmobile decide to apply for insolvency in self-administration last week, followed by a bankruptcy this morning. This decision will also impact the start of the new automatic frame production line at VDL in Breda, the Netherlands.

    Bafang integrates enviolo's Automatiq unit to boost user experience

    AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - enviolo, known for its unique stepless shifting products has successfully completed the integration of its Automatiq control units into Bafang's drivetrain system and display unit.     Private Fund Invests Ten Million Euro in Dutch E-Bike Maker QWIC

    AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Dutch e-bike maker QWIC has received 10 million euro in growth capital from De Hoge Dennen Capital, the investment vehicle of the Netherlands based De Rijcke family. The investment makes it possible for QWIC to meet its international ambitions and to develop e-bikes of the next generation.
