    LEUVEN, Belgium - High-quality, low weight bicycles with a high performance are high on the wish-list of many cyclists. Carbon material ticks most boxes on this list, except that carbon frames show brittle fractures and are vulnerable to direct impact. To address the weak impact resistance of carbon, Rein4ced has introduced a hybrid material and innovated the production method.

    Modyn partners with Rein4ced on European carbon frame concept

    GELDERMALSEN, The Netherlands — Dutch Industrial design agency Modyn who designs for brands such as Gazelle and Quinny is partnering with Rein4ced and Covestro on a gravel e-bike concept, EGRVLR. With the design study partnership, the carbon frame gravel bike would be produced in Europe using Covestro's carbon fibre composite and Rein4ced's highly automated production process.

    LEUVEN, Belgium— REIN4CED, the Belgian manufacturer of advanced composite bicycle frames, has successfully closed a series B capital increase of €7 million led by Capricorn Partners. This new capital injection will support the company's ambitious growth trajectory "to become the leading supplier of lightweight, strong and durable materials to the bicycle, automotive and aerospace market".

    Kellys one of the first to launch Belgium-made carbon frames

    VELKE ORVIÅ TÄš, Slovakia - "After more than 20 years, we are going to get rid of the high fragility of standard resin carbon composites, by introducing a new generation material," said Kellys Bicycles CEO Michal Divinec at the presentation of the company's MY 2021 range. The Slovakian company partnered with Belgium frame manufacturer Rein4ced for the introduction of their new e-bike frames for the Theos F series.
