The majority of the bicycle solutions produced by the company are electric bikes. These commonly require custom accessories and features to suit the use-cases and rider needs. For European customers, the bicycle assembly facilities are in the Czech Republic, which simplifies logistics and increases speed. “There are clear advantages in establishing a local presence in Europe to support customers,” says Liu. “For European customers, this increases the efficiency. And we also set up a German subsidiary because we want to support our European customers better. We employ local staff who understand the market and make communication easier. They can more easily identify and understand the end-customer requirements, in order to design and produce a better bicycle. By combining the cost-efficient Asian sourcing and production of parts with the European assembly, quality control and compliance, we can shorten the lead-times."
