    First hydrogen e-cargo bike soon on the road

    ARNHEM, the Netherlands - An electric cargo bike with a special hydrogen extender to double its range will soon find its way on the road. French Pragma Industries introduced the hydrogen e-bike already some years ago. In the Netherlands, Pragma is now cooperating with Urban Arrow and the Arnhem-Nijmegen Business school in the 'Everything about Hydrogen' Foundation to develop the HydroCargo.

    Taipei Cycle announces 2022 physical date as current online event ends

    TAIPEI, Taiwan - After nearly a month of virtual exhibitions, business meetings and forum discussions, Taipei Cycle Online has now drawn to a close. Organisers, TAITRA, report that the online format attracted many new exhibitors, but a "physical trade show is irreplaceable". Plans are now in full swing for just that in 2022.

    Giant Group profits up almost 50%

    TAICHUNG, Taiwan - For fiscal 2020, the country's largest bicycle manufacturer Giant Group reports a 10.3% year-on-year sales increase to TW$ 70.01 billion (€2.08 billion). At TW$ 4.95 billion (€147.29 million), profit after tax was even 46.7% higher than the previous year.

    Nanjing Lishui pursuing European expansion despite market uncertainties

    NANJING, CHINA - With an annual revenue of €25.6 million last year, Nanjing Lishui, has increased its production capacity to around 1-1.5 million e-bike controller units in recent years. Despite the booming bike market since the pandemic, the company is experiencing a lot of negative uncertainty, but this isn't holding back the European expansion ambitions. "Nanjing Lishui will swim with the tide and pursue advancement to face the 'new normal' with complexity and uncertainty," confirms director Hsu.

    MONZA, Italy - Founded in 1907, Atala is one of Italy's largest bicycle manufacturers and since it became part of the Accell Group in 2010, it has been given a head-start in the e-bike category. Based in Monza, a few kilometers away from Milan, the brand produces all kinds of bicycles and e-bikes as well as home trainers.
