FULDA, Germany - Following an initial reluctance to join the family business, Daria Büchel is now following her father footsteps into the bicycle industry. This does not mean the industry stalwart Erhard is on the brink of retirement. Daria's primary goal for now is "to make a meaningful and effective contribution to the company." ROTHENBURG, Germany - To increase competitiveness and optimise the workflow of its European production, bicycle component manufacturer Büchel GmbH has invested in state-of-the-art welding machinery. The amount of the investment remains undisclosed.

BARCHFELD, Germany - Wittkop GmbH, a subsidiary of the Büchel group took over the Italian saddle manufacturer Selle Esse, on May 1, 2021. With this takeover, the company aims to strengthen and expand saddle and saddle parts production in Germany, especially in Zella-Mehlis and Barchfeld in Thuringia, as well as in Bassano, Italy.
