    Ampler's USB-C e-bike hints at future of harmonised charging in Europe

    TALLINN, Estonia - Estonian e-bike manufacturer Ampler has unveiled its newest bike models with a cutting-edge new feature: direct USB-C charging. The Nova and the Nova Pro e-bikes were created "with urban families and modern commuters in mind," and tout a fully embedded USB-C battery in the bike frame.

    LONDON, UK - Quality issues with e-bike battery chargers have caused reasons for concern in the UK but also in EU countries. One of the largest online sellers of e-bike chargers and conversion kits, Wish.com has banned the sales of the products citing safety risks. Yet there are serious concerns about the enforcement of the new policy.

    BERLIN, Germany - With EIT InnoEnergy SE, a new strategic investor and partner has joined Swobbee GmbH, the multi-vendor, multi-modal battery swapping station for all types of small electric vehicles. While EIT is putting €3 million of growth capital into the start-up, the current existing investor is also adding around the same amount on top.
