    Manuel Marsilio's tenure at CONEBI comes to an end

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - The European bicycle industry is losing a key face in Brussels. Manuel Marsilio has officially stepped down from his position as general manager of the Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI). This marks the end of more than a decade of leadership. Meanwhile, the ECF has welcomed its new CEO, who is tasked with advocating for better cycling infrastructure across Europe.

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - CEO of Cycleurope AB Tony Grimaldi has been the president of Cycling Industries Europe (CIE) since the start of the advocacy organisation. CIE is entering an all-new chapter with the announced merger with the Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry (CONEBI). Few were more involved in European cycling advocacy at various political levels and within nearly all industry organisations than Tony Grimaldi.

    Can leasing models recharge the European e-bike market?

    BRUSSELS, Belgium - Company bike leasing (CBL) has demonstrated the success of salary conversion schemes in boosting e-bike sales. In Germany alone, approximately 2.1 million e-bikes have been sold through leasing over the past decade. This approach could serve as a blueprint for the entire of Europe to regain market momentum. However, before that can happen, national industry associations will need to advocate for suitable tax facilities with their governments.
