    Irish investment firm eyes acquisition of Accell Group

    Quanta Capital, a Dublin-headquartered investment and asset management firm, has confirmed its interest in acquiring Accell Group. The Dutch manufacturer entered formal insolvency proceedings on 5 August 2026, following the collapse of a previous acquisition opportunity by Dutech holdings.

    Accell Group confirms VanMoof founders' involvement in new Raleigh e-bike

    NOTTINGHAM, UK - Accell Group's Raleigh brand has debuted the Raleigh One, a new e-bike that represents the brand's shift to a "striking new visual identity." The bike's sleek geometric lines and integrated tech features reflect the brand's desire to move into a more "urban, design-led" approach to mobility. It also reflects something else: The subtle but distinct touch of VanMoof's founders and former CEOs, Ties and Taco Carlier. What was previously speculation in the industry has now been confirmed by Ertu Bilgin, Accell Group's brand lead.

    Future Raleigh UK uncertain as Accell Group didn't file account

    EASTWOOD, United Kingdom - Raleigh UK risks being closed down by the government agency Companies House over its failure to file its financial results. The fully owned Accell Group subsidiary has been given three months to get its affairs in order or face being forced to shut down its operation.

    Fitch Ratings warns Accell Group finances are 'unsustainable'

    HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands - The reorganisations announced at three of its subsidiaries was already a clear indication of a new policy at Accell Group BV. Now the reason why has become clear. Fitch Ratings has downgraded Accell Group and questions the company's possibility of meeting its financial commitments. According to Accell Group, "the Fitch report reflects the difficult market circumstances."
