    Two European bike brands issue front fork recalls in the same week

    BAVARIA, Germany - Swiss speed-pedelec brand myStromer and German bicycle brand Cube have both issued voluntary recalls for their front forks on select models. The recalls being within days of each other seems coincidental, as the brands use different suppliers.

    Ex-Stromer CEO Viiala looks to disrupt with new e-bike brand

Joining forces with an elite set of partners, he is launching a new brand, Viiala, to push the current boundaries of innovation within the bicycle industry.     "The potential in Germany is substantial": Stromer, Riese & Muller weigh in on speed-pedelecs

    TÜBINGEN, Germany — A speed-pedelec experiment in southern Germany has yielded promising results, but findings also show that key barriers to adoption remain. The experiment was conducted by researchers at RheinMain and Darmstadt universities and sponsored by Allianz Zukunft S-Pedelec, a coalition of speed-pedelec manufacturers - including myStromer, Klever Mobility, Riese & Müller and HP Velotechnik.

    Leading e-bike brands discontinue North American business

    OBERWANGEN, Switzerland - Yamaha was the first e-bike brand this month which announced it was pulling out of the US market due to oversupply and slow demand. It turns out that the Japanese are not the only one. myStromer AG also announced it will discontinue its business in the US and Canada with immediate effect.

    Change in management at Stromer as Tomi Viiala steps down as co-CEO

    OBERWANGEN, Switzerland - After 11 years at Stromer, co-CEO Tomi Viiala has decided to step back from the operational business and leave the company. The reason given is to "spend more time with his family, who live in Finland." Viiala will remain a shareholder of Stromer.

    myStromer and Revolt Zycling settle Swiss speed pedelec dispute

    OBERWANGEN, Switzerland - The confiscation of all e-bikes at the Opium brand stand caused a big noise at Eurobike last year. The reason was the patent lawsuit brought by myStromer AG against the Opium brand owner Revolt Zycling AG. The Federal Patent Court recently ruled in favour of Stromer. However, the defendant did not wait for this decision, but has already brought a modified design onto the market.
