    Sponsored Reviving tradition: Rubena's comeback in tyre manufacturing

    Czech rubber manufacturer Rubena has completed the withdrawal from the previous Mitas brand, and is focusing on refreshing its original Rubena brand for the entire range of tyres and inner tubes for bicycles.

    Hartex invests in new bicycle tube unit to cater for export market

    LUDHIANA, India - Hartex Rubber has opened a new bicycle tube plant at its Ludhiana site, creating an additional daily capacity of 25,000 tubes. "The new tube unit, at an investment of INR 150 million (€1.8 million) has been set up to cater entirely for the export market," explains Varun Sureka, Director, Hartex Rubber.

    Schwalbe switches rubber for thermoplastic in new light-weight tube

    REICHSHOF, Germany - Schwalbe's new tube made of a thermoplastic polyurethane called Aerothan has achieved top values for elasticity, weight and puncture protection, all without the use of rubber. Available for road, mountain and trekking bikes, Schwalbe claims the Aerothan tubes are much more robust
