    reTyre completes Norwegian tyre factory and ramps up production

    SKI, Norway - Just south of Oslo, the first highly automated tyre factory of reTyre has been completed after a construction period of 10 months. "We are the world's first tyre company that can injection-mold tyres instead of manual vulcanization," said eTyre COO Alexander Gjendem Gjørven, who has raised more than 200 million Norwegian kroner (€17.2 million) for reTyre.

    Fulpra and Heidenau launch dedicated cargobike tyre

    NIEUWEGEIN, the Netherlands - Heavy loads and many riding hours a day by commercial users requires different specifications of cargobike components. Cargobike manufacturer Fulpra from the Netherlands and tyre specialist Heidenau from Germany took up this challenge to develop the ultimate cargobike tyre.

    India's Metro Tyres doubles bicycle tyre export capacity

    NEW DEHLI, India - Metro Tyres Limited is gearing-up to further expand the footprint of its house brand 'Ortem' in the European and US market. The Indian bicycle tyre manufacturer with production sites in Ludhiana has invested in doubling the tyre and tube production capacity of its export-oriented facility to also further expand into the private label business.

    70% of Schwalbe tyres using recycled carbon black

    REICHSHOF, Germany - One year after the launch of the Green Marathon, Schwalbe is converting large parts of its existing tyre range to the same circular concept. From now on, 70% of all Schwalbe tyres will be made with recycled carbon black (rCB), the tyre brand reports.
