With over 25 years in the automobile industry, Preeto E-Mobility Systems is the youngest addition to Zhaowei, a company who has built a solid reputation on the quality, performance, and innovation of its systems across various industries. This same commitment has fuelled the durability, efficiency, and intelligent design of its Preeto e-drive series.
Driven by engineering excellence
With exceptional torque density, smooth engagement, and long-term reliability, every unit is developed to deliver smooth, accurate power transmission by minimising vibration and maximising operational efficiency.
But Preeto also understands that every industry comes with its own unique challenges, which is why the company chose to produce e-drive systems that can be tailored to specific torque requirements, mounting configurations, or environmental conditions.
At Preeto, we’re open to collaborating with our clients”
“We don’t see one solution fitting every case. It needs to be tailored to specific purposes; a sporty mountain bike is very different from a low-cost city bike, for example. At Preeto, we’re open to collaborating with our clients. If you only want the engine, we can adapt our product to meet your needs,” says Jürgen Ludwig, Managing Director of ZW Drive Europe, the German subsidiary of Zhaowei.
Power tailored to every ride
Preeto has launched three e-drive systems that all encompass a compact design, smart app integration, quiet transmission and five riding modes (ECO, TOUR, SPORT, AUTO and BOOSTER). They include:
- The P60: Compact and efficient, the P60 delivers 60Nm torque and 600W peak power at only 1.95kg. Ideal for city commutes and light trails, it offers a smooth and quiet ride with noise under 55dB.
- The P90: A step up for sport and mountain riders, the P90 provides 90Nm torque and 750W of output at 2.65kg. Designed for tougher climbs and faster acceleration, it balances power and control across various terrains.
- The P110: For sportive E-MTBs and E-SUVs, the P110 delivers 110Nm torque and 750W at 2.75kg. It’s built for sustained power and long-distance reliability with heavy loads.

Gaining positive reviews
Initial tests of the P110 showed impressive results in terms of efficiency. With only a 720Wh battery, it reached over 2,000 vertical metres of straight uphill riding while the engine performed consistently. Additionally, its smooth and precise engagement allowed for safe and simple take offs on very steep inclines.
In fact, Michael Faiss of Velo Motion Magazine took the P110 for a test ride and concluded, “I have to say, what really impressed me about the drive unit, was not just its specifications, but its feel and modulation; it feels great right from the start, so essentially Preeto is competing with the best brands out there despite having only just entered the market.”
Built in China, open to the world
But what truly sets Preeto apart from other brands is its commitment to transparency. Unlike many manufacturers that keep their operations behind closed doors, Preeto invites customers and partners to visit their factory in China.
Every drive system undergoes stringent quality control processes, ensuring that they meet international standards for performance and durability. By opening its doors to the world, the company demonstrates confidence in its work and reinforces its philosophy that when quality is your foundation, transparency comes naturally.
Everybody is welcome to visit our production plant to see how we design and build engines”
Specialising in motors from 3.4mm to 15cm in size, Zhaowei has the manufacturing capacity to produce over 20 million gearbox motors per year. Zhaowei is continuously investing in research and development, exploring new materials, lubrication systems, and gear geometries to push the boundaries of performance. Its engineers enjoy working closely with clients to develop specific customer solutions that not only meet the current market demands but anticipate future challenges.
“We have a special R&D development and test area where our teams start new projects with customers long time before they go into production,” describes Ludwig. “Everybody is welcome to visit our production plant to see how we design and build engines. It’s important for us to be open-minded and transparent.”
