Under the theme ‘DAHON 2.0 – Beyond Folding Bikes,’ the company showcased its latest heavy-duty folding bikes, lightweight e-bikes, tri-fold series, and performance road bikes. “Our green-and-white booth B29 in Hall 12 was a constant hive of activity, with the daily ‘Win a DAHON’ prize draw and the ‘Spin & win’ lucky wheel keeping visitor engagement high from open to close,” says Dr. David T. Hon, founder and CEO of DAHON.
Voice on the industry's future
Dr. Hon was interviewed by major European cycling media. He outlined the engineering principles behind DAHON-V Tech, explaining how advances in frame architecture can improve structural stiffness, power transfer, and ride quality across both folding and conventional bicycles.
Drawing on more than four decades in the folding-bike industry, Dr. Hon also contributed to two Eurobike panel discussions. Form follows function: A focus on bicycle product design examined the relationship between design, functionality, manufacturing, and commercial viability. The panel on Supply chain rebalancing in the bike industry discussed the changing sourcing landscape and the need for more balanced, resilient supply chains.

“Together, the sessions reflected our view that meaningful innovation depends not only on product engineering, but also on an informed understanding of manufacturing, sourcing, and long-term industry development,” emphasises Dr. Hon. “The discussion drew strong interest from international trade media and industry leaders.”
New performance benchmark
“The ‘DAHON-V’ (DAHON-V Velocity Tech Suite) platform was the centerpiece of our show,” Dr. Hon continues. According to the company, the technology lifts frame stiffness by 37.9% on road-bike platforms and 33% on folding-bike platforms compared with conventional designs, translating directly into faster, safer and more responsive rides.
The technology made its public debut across four new models, highlighted by Dr. Hon:

- Lunden C8 — An upgraded carbon-fiber tri-fold featuring, Deltech equipped, a redesigned top tube running directly from the head tube to the bottom bracket, paired with a wider, straightened chainstay for substantially greater frame rigidity, strength and acceleration.
- Mariner HD — The new heavy-duty flagship, engineered around the ‘DAHON-V’ structure and rated to a 150kg payload, which became a focal point on the booth floor.
- Unio E20 — An e-bike offering five power-assist modes, a mid-drive motor and a long-range seat-tube battery designed to make climbs and complex urban terrain effortless.
- Boardwalk D7 — A British-retro-inspired city bike whose H-type steel frame, equipped with Deltech & Super Downtube, KC joint and newly upgraded two-piece internal V-lock deliver distinctive stability, speed and style.
New sub-brand and co-branded kids' bikes
The show also marked the international debut of Biceco by DAHON. “This is a new sub-brand focused on delivering high-value folding bikes and e-bikes for city commuting, leisure riding and light off-road use — extending our mission of making high-quality cycling accessible to a broader audience,” Dr. Hon explains.
“Alongside Biceco, the DAHON × RoyalBaby co-branded kids' and youth bike line drew strong interest from families. This product line pairs lighter, tougher frames with child-friendly cockpits and easy-shifting drivetrains designed to give young riders the same freedom and joy of two-wheeled adventure.”

Test rides and on-site engagement
At the outdoor demo area (F12-A24), riders from across the world queued to test the new line-up across urban commuting, performance road and adventure-touring scenarios. “Riders consistently praised our line-up powered by DAHON-V tech, offering light weight, quick handling and reassuring rigidity,” says Dr. Hon.
“And back at the booth, we handed complete bikes to lucky visitors with the daily ‘Win a DAHON’ prize draw. At the ‘Spin & win’ wheel visitors had a chance to win DAHON caps, phone stands, ankle straps, bottle openers and other branded giveaways. This all kept the crowd flowing from open to close.”
Looking ahead
“As Eurobike 2026 closes its doors, our exploration of technological innovation does not,” concludes Dr. Hon. “We will continue to advance two-wheeled green mobility and bring riders worldwide more creative bicycles and a freer, more sustainable way to live.”
