ZEIST, the Netherlands - The cooperation between Kellys and Koenigsegg's automotive composite body part manufacturer has been much speculated since Eurobike. Known for their multimillion Koenigsegg Jesko, the Swedish super-car manufacturer's partner for composite aerodynamics bodyparts and Kellys have partnered in the development of the super lightweight Theos F series e-bike.

Fifteen years after introducing its bicycle belts in Europe, Gates is preparing for the next 15 years of growth by increasing belt production in Europe and opening a new factory in Turkey to support the European market. Hands-on engineering support, new technical resources, and sustainability are the focus of the company, explains Joe Menzel, Vice President and General Manager, Gates Global Mobility.

VILNIUS, Lithuania - The ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the all new Pon.Bike factory in the Kedainiai Free Economic Zone in Lithuania is expected to commence soon. This was announced by 2L Architects who wrote yesterday, "we received a construction permit and we are waiting for the earthworks to start soon."

CAVARZERE, Italy - In a devastating fire the Italian bicycle facility of Bottecchia Cicli di Cavarzere was damaged badly last Sunday. According to the latest report, the fire brigade managed to bring the fire under control, however it destroyed the central warehouse of the bicycle factory of approximately 6,000 square meters.

AVEIRO, Portugal - Rodi Industries has started the construction of a new production facility for its cycling business, which will be completed by the end of this year. The new factory will not only allow for the optimisation of the flow and production capacity, but will also lead to the installation of a new anodizing line, which will improve the quality of the products and open the door to the production of other bicycle and e-bike related products.

BETHLEHEM, USA - The Dutch scaleup in GPS tracking solutions Tracefy and Skillion Inc. have entered into a partnership for the distribution of a GPS e-bike tracking system in North America. Skillion is a US-based leader developing several Internet of Things (IoT) and AI technologies in the biking industry.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden - myFC, the Nasdaq listed company which was active in micro fuel cells and hydrogen has filed for bankruptcy. This a turnaround from earlier this year when the company made headlines in the e-bike industry press with an eye-catching partnership.

TIANJIN, China - E-bike display and sensor manufacturer, King-Meter displayed its newest range at this year's Eurobike. Amongst the new products is its most recent integrated display technology.

TAIPEI, Taiwan - The export volume of e-bikes from Taiwan continues to increase, although the latest statistics show some remarkable changes. From January to August 2022 Taiwan exported 678,523 electric bicycles. Compared with the same period in 2021 that's a marginal increase of 1.17%.

TAIPEI, Taiwan - In 2023 the Taipei Cycle d&I awards will return with aim of 'taking bicycle design to the next level'. Registration has now opened for what is considered one of the most important competitions in the cycling industry. The Gold Award - Green Prize will recognise products manufactured according to sustainable principles.

FRANKFURT, Germany - Mixing a trade and consumer show always raises questions about the efficiency for each exhibitor. It wasn't any different during the first Eurobike edition in Frankfurt last July. Eurobike announced to align the specific requirements of the exhibiting companies and to offer customised packages.
