GRENCHEN, Switzerland - BMC is seen as one of the last internationally well-known brands to enter the e-bike market.

GIVISIEZ, Switzerland - Scott Sports SA is continuing its expansion. The company owned by Korean Youngone Corp. has signed a preliminary agreement for the take-over of the Dolomite division from the Italian holding Tecnica Group SpA which is operating outdoor brands like Bladerunner, Blizzard, Lowa, Moon Boot, Nordica, Rollerblade and Tecnica.

OSAKA, Japan - For 2016, Shimano STEPS will be used in some 40 major brands like Bergamont, Corratec, Hercules, KTM, Panther, Raleigh US, Scott, Trek and newcomers such as Walleräng from Sweden. With that Shimano has taken the lead in chasing Bosch.

GRENCHEN, Switzerland - Next to its e-bike brand Stromer BMC Group is also divesting Bergamont. As part of a new brand strategy, on which Bike Europe interviewed BMC's CEO Erwin Steinmann in its May 2015 edition, the Swiss bike maker has announced to sell its German Bergamont Fahrrad Vertrieb GmbH to competitor and countryman Scott Sports SA. The deal was finalized at the end of June.
