Brompton returned to meaningful profitability in early 2025, according to its most recent financial results, after a near-breakdown in 2024. Despite this soft rebound in profit, the company's annual data shows an overall £2 million (€2.3 million) loss in profit and a 7.5% drop in bike unit sales.

Dahon, one of the biggest folding bicycle makers in the world, jumped on its Hong Kong trading debut after investors flocked to its initial public offering on September 9, 2025. Dahon Tech, a subsidiary of Dahon, successfully listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. "With an oversubscription rate of 7,558 times, media recognized it as Hong Kong's most oversubscribed listing ever," adds Dr. David Hon, the company's founder and CEO.

LONDON, United Kingdom - Touted as the brand's "lightest folding e-bike ever," United Kingdom folding bike manufacturer Brompton has debuted a new electric T range with a matching 'e-Motiq' drive system. Brompton's David Rhys, head of electric systems, shared his vision for the new motor system with Bike Europe in an interview following its debut.

At the 717 JD Cycling Festival in Beijing, the silver-gray, drop-bar folding bike Dahon P18 Ultra zipped past the finish line and claimed victory with lightning speed. With this performance, it challenged the industry's perception that "portability and speed cannot coexist" for folding bikes.
