    Heiko Müller bows out of the management of Riese & Müller

    Heiko Müller is stepping back from the management of Riese & Müller after more than three decades with the company he co-founded. His departure at the end of July concludes the operational responsibility of the founding generation, after Markus Riese stepped back from management in 2022.

    German industry rivals Eurobike with launch of international trade fair

    The debate around Eurobike has entered a new phase since German industry organisations announced they will organise "a leading international trade show" in 2027. This decision stems from a dispute between the Eurobike organiser, Fairnamic, and the German industry organisations ZIV, Zukunft Fahrrad and VSF. This latest strategic move suggests a potential return to a dual-tradeshow landscape for Europe, reminiscent of the pre-2008 era when IFMA Cologne and Eurobike operated alongside each other.

    Riese & Müller, German premium e-bike manufacturer, has announced its withdrawal from the United States market, choosing to "reconcentrate its resources" on developing its European sales and dealer network. Despite the recent positive policy developments for the US bicycle industry, the overall volatility of the nation's import market appears to have claimed another victim.

    "The future belongs to soft mobility," IAA audience hears

    MUNICH, Germany - With a very heavy lean towards the automotive sector despite a recent attempt to diverge to all forms of mobility, one voice stood out for the bicycle industry at this year's IAA as cars dominated the halls. "Germany has more than just a car industry. The bicycle industry and public transport are also strong players - and deserve political visibility and a level playing field," Sandra Wolff, CEO of Riese & Müller said during the 'Why diverse mobility is so important' session, which was moderated by Politico.

    German e-bike maker pauses US shipments following new tariffs

    MÜHLTAL, Germany - The precarity of the United States market and ongoing tariff uncertainty has taken a toll once again, as Riese & Müller announced this week it will pause all US shipments and re-evaluate following the latest 50% steel tariffs, "and their implications."

    "The potential in Germany is substantial": Stromer, Riese & Muller weigh in on speed-pedelecs

    TÜBINGEN, Germany — A speed-pedelec experiment in southern Germany has yielded promising results, but findings also show that key barriers to adoption remain. The experiment was conducted by researchers at RheinMain and Darmstadt universities and sponsored by Allianz Zukunft S-Pedelec, a coalition of speed-pedelec manufacturers - including myStromer, Klever Mobility, Riese & Müller and HP Velotechnik.
