WARSAW, Poland - Today, Poland is a European manufacturing hub for bicycles and e-bikes — not a niche player but one of the continent's top producers. Polish factories produced around 1 million bicycles annually in the early 2020s, putting the country among the EU's five largest producers and giving it a meaningful share of regional supply chains.
MYSŁOWICE, Poland - Located just outside the Polish city of Katowice, Polana Bikes has quietly set up a state-of-the-art bicycle production facility. With its own e-bike brand already on the domestic market, the company has big ambitions to change the narrative regarding European e-bike production. Under the motto 'Passion for bicycles meets industrial precision,' the company relies on local expertise with a touch of Chinese 'Guanxi.'

NIJMEGEN, the Netherlands - Ebike4Delivery invests €15 million to seize control of production of its delivery e-bikes in the Netherlands. With this in-house production, Ebike4Delivery aims to increase quality and gain greater control over the entire process.
HEERENVEEN, the Netherlands - In a new move to better its financial position, Accell Group is further centralising its production capabilities. After more than a century, bicycles will no longer be produced at its site in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. The factory is expected to close by the end of Q1 2026, and production will be integrated into existing manufacturing facilities in Hungary. The closure will lead to a loss of approximately 160 jobs.
