Orbea doubles down on market strategy amid stabilising revenue

Basque bicycle manufacturer Orbea reported a limited 2.3% decline in revenue for 2025, a small reduction in revenue that the cooperative attributes to its continuous market monitoring and disciplined management of a "responsible sales plan." This contrasts with 2024, when Orbea reported an 8% year-over-year decline in turnover, suggesting that profitability and margin performance stabilised considerably in 2025.

Spanish bicycle market stabilises as e-bike adoption grows

A total of 1,093,478 bicycles were sold in Spain in 2025, just 0.7% fewer than in 2024, according to data presented by industry association AMBE and Cofidis. Total bicycle sales in Spain generated €1.4 billion in 2025, a 9% increase compared to 2024. This growth was mainly driven by the mid-range and high-end segments, particularly e-bikes, which accounted for 21.5% of units sold and 35.2% of bicycle sales turnover.

Bicycle production in Spain drops 8% in 2025

The Spanish bicycle market is continuing to navigate a post-pandemic correction. As markets cool and consumer budgets tighten, Spain has again had to swallow a decrease in its bicycle production output. Spain closed 2025 with 286,100 units produced, at a production value of €233 million, according to official data published by the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism.

Sponsored Felt's new strategy: dealer partnerships and pure performance

In an industry driven by change, innovation and pressure to stay on top, where brands shift ownership, directions drift, and relationships often suffer, very few cycling companies ever get the chance to refocus and return to their authentic roots. Felt Bicycles is exactly planning to do that.

Spanish bicycle production on course for 5-year low despite slowing decline

MADRID, Spain - Following a slow start to the year, bicycle production is set to decline in Spain in 2025. The country produced a total of almost 220,000 bicycles in the first nine months of 2025, a 10% drop compared to the same period last year. Totalling €179 million in value, this represents a considerable decline, according to official data published by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism. The data for Q3, however, shows the most promising signs of a revival.
