After years and years of front and rear wheel hub motors the company is for MY 2016 introducing a mid-motor drive system. Here are the first photos.
APELDOORN, the Netherlands - For the rapidly growing mid-motor e-bike category, Accell Group developed its own system. For its existing front and rear wheel hub motors Accell Group partners with a factory in China. However for the production of its mid-motor system the company looked for another motor manufacturer and found one in Japan.
APELDOORN, the Netherlands - "We did not want just another mid-motor, but a product with its own riding characteristics that could add value to our e-bikes," said Sparta's commercial director Mark Kuper about the new ION mid-motor. As the innovative e-bike brand of the Accell Group, Sparta will launch the new developed mid-motor in their MY 2016 range.
