    "Eurobike has to become what the industry needs": companies react to ZIV fallout

    FRANKFURT, Germany - Industry leaders have openly shared their opinions on the developments surrounding Eurobike with Bike Europe. Complaints about the show were already widely discussed during and after the last edition, but the future of the event came into full focus after the statement of the German industry bodies to pull out of Eurobike. For decades, the show seemed a fixed element in the industry calendar, but even Eurobike cannot escape the recent dramatic changes in the industry.

    ANNECY, France - The developing X-Tend e-bike system for road and gravel was one of the more valuable assets the Bourrelier group acquired Mavic in 2020. Making the product ready for mass production, and subsequently for the market, was a big challenge. Mavic overcame this undertaking and is currently consulting interested OEMs.

    ANNECY, France - There is a new face at the helm of French component manufacturer Mavic. Having worked with Jean-Michel Bourrelier for more than five months, Alberto Morgando officially took over the position of managing director on 20 February.

    Mavic to strengthen OEM presence and appoints dedicated manager

    ANNECY, France - Component manufacturer Mavic has announced a change in its market strategy. To improve its presence on the OEM market again, component manufacturer Mavic opened a facility in the US and has hired experienced François Joly as OEM business unit manager.

According to Mavic, the product is fully engineered and ready for mass production. During a recent media event Mavic's promise was confirmed. However, the French family company lacks the resources to take the product to market.
